Doors, windows, and shingles.

I arrived at the farm earlier than ever this morning – about 5:45. My reward was a nice sunrise over the back field, and relatively cool temperatures for a couple of hours.

The roofers were the first ones to show up, and their rides did not disappoint.

The framers came and finished vaulting the ceilings and installing the doors and windows. I had to go back to Pulaski for three more doors. It took them nearly all day, which clearly caught them off guard. I think they were expecting a much shorter day. One of them left early so I was only able to get a picture of the other two.

So it is definitely looking like a house now. I didn’t get any inside pictures, but will tomorrow.

It really feels great to be at this point. There has been a lot of stress, but I’m relaxing a bit now. I will be even more relaxed once it passes Liz’s inspection tomorrow and the county’s next week.
