We’re still here.

Last nights storms didn’t do too much. The main casualty was a dead branch falling from one of the maple trees out front. It wasn’t even that big. I went to Kroger after breakfast to get several things that we needed. Lots of people there weren’t wearing masks despite signs out front saying they were mandatory. We all went to the farmer’s market after I returned and bought some bread and a small watermelon. Ourn next stop was a park on Iron Bridge Road that we hadn’t been to before. It was quite nice and we had it to ourselves. Luke enjoyed it a lot and I’m sure we will be returning. Finally we went to the nature park and walked the small loop. It was nice to get a little exercise.

Back at the house I gathered up a few things and hit the road. My first stop was a store in Estill Springs that sells wood burning stoves. Well, they don’t actually stock any and the salesman didn’t really know anything about them besides the fact that he can order some. So I’ll probably need to go down to Chattanooga for good service. Next I stopped at Home Depot in Winchester to pick up a squeegee head before driving up the Mountain. I first stopped at Debbie’s and chatted for a bit before going by the house. Upon seeing that the plumber hadn’t done any work I became enraged. I went by the Goat Market to get pizza for me and Debbie and talked for a bit with Eric while waiting. He said the way the plumber was treating me was ridiculous. I agreed, and will find a replacement. Debbie and I enjoyed the pizza, and chatted for a while about different things. I helped her label a bunch of candles and that kind of calmed me down. It was after sunset when I left and so I didn’t go photograph anything. I did go to the library to use the internet in the parking lot, but my laptop battery died after about five minutes. I picked up some stuff at Piggly Wiggly, then just came back to the cottage and wasted time on my phone. I talked with Liz for a while too.
