Casa(finally)blanca.

The house is looking much better today. I finally was able to get somebody to come caulk and paint, and he has been doing so for the last two days. Today he painted all the unpainted spots and tomorrow he will repaint some sections and scrape the windows. It feels good to have it looking more finished. I spent several hours on the tractor today. I moved a lot of dirt to the front of the house and graded it as best I could. The big pile out front is rapidly diminishing. I also removed the temporary power pole and started removing the “sidewalk to nowhere” in the front yard. I need to find a new place to put concrete though, as I covered up my pit at the back of the property. I might dig another one, although that isn’t ideal. Today’s slow cooker dish was a chickpea curry that ended up being pretty tasty. Another bit of good news is that Rickey, the “painter” is hauling away almost all of the wood that I was going to burn. He was super excited about all of the things he can build with it.
