Chilly day on the mountain.

I woke up just after sunrise this morning and was too lazy to go out. Actually I did have to get something out of the car, and it was freezing, so I stayed inside for a couple more hours. I did go to the Goat Market when they opened and bought a couple of little things for Luke. Within five minutes of them opening the place was packed. I drove over to campus but the goats weren’t out. Back at the cottage I messed around on my phone for a bit before going next door to see Debbie. She was making candles for the market tomorrow, and I helped for a while by putting wicks in tea candles. We chatted for a long time while we worked. A few people came by the store, some from Nashville, and all were very friendly. I really admire Debbie for all of the passion and effort she is putting into her business.

After leaving there I made a sandwich then went to Lake O’Donnell for sunset. It was cold but pretty, and I took a number of pictures. Then I drove to the lake in the development across the street from the cottage and took some more. The sky was lovely. Now I’m just relaxing and sketching up plans for a little shack I want to build.

One week!

Liz and Luke return next Saturday. I’ll meet them just south of Indianapolis and give Liz’s mother her car, then we’ll drive to the farm. There is a lot of cleaning and furniture moving to be done first though. Fortunately we only have a two bedroom condo’s amount of furniture and not a four bedroom house’s worth.

Liz said that Luke is getting into making funny faces. He is also very curious and observant. It will be lots of fun to have him down at the farm. I guess I need to look into safety devices for cabinets and such, especially now that he is more mobile.

Below are some recent pictures that came from Liz and her mother.
