Home again.

This morning my dad and I went to look at the new lots. We wanted to kind of map out where the next houses would go, but that was a little difficult without the soil maps. So we just walked around a little bit until it was time for him to meet some guys to discuss clearing another part of the new land. I went back to the cottage, where I showered and packed up before driving down to Winchester. I stopped at a couple of different places to get materials for the septic system. Then I drove home via Fayetteville and Lewisburg.

Liz wasn’t home when I arrived, but Luke was there with her mother. It was good to see him. Once Liz returned we had lunch, and I tried to nap while Luke did, but was unsuccessful. This afternoon we just played and read, then Liz went to pick us up some food from a restaurant we hadn’t been to before. It was a nice evening. Luke went to bed without trouble.

Incrementally closer.

It was an okay day. More inside tasks ticked off the list and more land clearing. It looks like I’ve got a septic guy lined up for Saturday, which is a huge relief. Debbie came by to see the house and was encouraging. I started moving dirt to the new culvert.
