I was too lazy to get out of bed for sunrise this morning, despite a glance out the window confirming that it would be glorious. I finally got up and took the Lexus to the mechanic. It took over two hours, but he finally got the AC blowing cold again. I drove around campus, loaded a bunch of concrete blocks onto the trailer, then went to see Debbie next door. After visiting with her for a while I hit the road. The drive home was scenic, but uneventful. Upon arrival I put on tennis shoes and we went to the greenway for a walk. Dinner was leftovers, since the fridge is pretty full.
Milestone, Mountain, Motoring.
I drove up to the Mountain this morning. On the way Lexie crossed the 200k mile mark. I pulled my new army trailer and planned on cutting the grass at the cottage, but it didn’t need it. So I focused on the Sequoia. The new battery didn’t get it started, but eventually I realized that the cables running to the negative terminal were corroded. So with some steel wool I got them cleaned. Then it started. I drove down to the mechanic and got the oil changed. Then I went to see the goats on campus. They were pretty far away, but looked content. I am staying up here tonight because they need to do a little work on the Lexus tomorrow. I am reading a couple of books and enjoying the tranquility. No fireflies are out yet.

Busy Monday.
The day started with a trip to Chapel Hill to pick up some lumber. Then I drove to Nashville to cut grass at my parents’. Next I went to the grocery store and gas station, the latter for diesel for a bonfire. The fire started slowly, but eventually everything burned down. I will dispose of the ashes then plant grass seed in the field later this week. Some of my previously planted grass is starting to rise up. Picture below.
