A full day of work.

I got to the job site at about 8:30 this morning. I left a few minutes after five this evening. In between I made a lot more progress on the tile flooring. Hunter also came and painted some more this afternoon. This evening I had dinner on campus with Debbie, Charles, and Autumn. That was nice. Now I am super tired and a little sore. Tomorrow I should finish up the tile, or at least use up all that I have left. I will need to get some more.

Making progress.

Therapy this morning then Manchester Home Depot followed by a stop at the cottage before finally getting to the job site a little after two. There I started installing tile in the kitchen. A guy came to paint the porches and I got him all set up. He didn’t make great progress but will be coming back. After work I had dinner in Sewanee with a friend. We actually stayed there until nearly eleven.

Happy birthday Aunt Lauren!

This morning we played a bit after breakfast then drove up to Nashville. I went to Southeastern Salvage for some flooring. They didn’t have enough, so I might have to drive a ways to get more. We’ll see once I start installing. Next we stopped at CVS for Lauren’s birthday card before heading on to her house. Luke was happy to see her and Wild Dog, and my parents once they arrived. We ate pizza and strawberry cake, socialized, then returned home. Before dinner we played. Now Liz and Luke are doing the bed time routine.

Recovery day.

Luke slept very late this morning, which was welcome. After breakfast we did a couple of projects and a bit of cleaning. I made dinner in the slow cooker and Liz took Luke out this afternoon while I tried to nap. Bed time was a little rough but we got an early start so he wasn’t too late falling asleep.

Eventually productive.

There was a light dusting of snow on the ground this morning. And it was cold. I went to Piggly Wiggly for some cereal then just relaxed around the cottage until nearly eleven. I really didn’t want to go to the job site, but I did. I put down plywood underlayment for about five hours. I nearly finished and have just a little remaining for Monday. After returning to the cottage to pack up I drove home. It was good to see Liz and Luke.
