Fast weekend.

I couldn’t fall asleep until a little after three this morning. Couldn’t really sleep past about 6:30 either. Made for kind of a rough day. We built more Legos, had video calls with my parents and Liz’s, kind of followed the Titans game, and did our best to relax. He was well behaved for the most part, until dinner, when a lack of nap caught up with him. He gave Liz some trouble during his bath and now she is putting him to bed. Last night we couldn’t get the football game so we watched an episode of a TV show called Barnyard Builders. It was pretty cool and so might watch more tonight.

Pretty fun Saturday.

Luke slept in until about 7:30 this morning, which was great for everybody. He also didn’t wake up during the night. Unfortunately it was horribly cold today so we didn’t go outside. We had fun inside though. Liz and Luke made banana bread, we built a nice Lego wall, and Luke had a decent nap. I finished reading a book on straw bale gardening and Liz and I discussed some plans for our “farm”. Luke had a good dinner but really didn’t want to go to bed. Liz is still in there with him while I am setting up the TV in our bedroom to watch some football.

White Friday.

There was a light dusting of snow on the ground this morning. Not enough to really be pretty, and it quickly melted enough to feel depressing. Luke and I built Legos and read all morning. He ate a big lunch and then actually went down for a nap, though not easily. It wasn’t a long one, but it was nice for me to have a little time to myself to read and mess around on the internet. After nap we played more and then dinner, bath time. Liz is about to put him down for the night. I’m hoping he will get another night of uninterrupted sleep.

Mixed bag of a day.

Luke and I went to speech therapy this morning, and that was good. Then we met my dad at Pinkerton Park in Franklin. It was nice there and Luke had a lot of fun, but it was also pretty cold. We drove home and played with Legos until lunch. After lunch things kind of fell apart. He wouldn’t nap and was very defiant. So I loaded him into the car and we started driving. He screamed bloody murder for about ten minutes before falling asleep. We drove through Lewisburg, Cornersville and Lynnville before returning home. It started snowing on the last leg of the journey. When we arrived I saw that he had thrown up on himself, which must have been what some of the screaming was about. I felt pretty bad then, but he was in good spirits and wanted a snack. We played until Liz got off work, then had dinner and he went to bed. Hopefully he won’t wake up a bunch during the night.

Running all over town.

This morning we all drove up to Nashville for Luke to have an evaluation related to his speech therapy. After dropping them off I drove to Bellevue to visit Home Depot, Staples, and Goodwill. Next I went to McKay’s but they weren’t open and I didn’t feel like waiting. From there I headed to Nolensville Road and stopped at another thrift store, Bargain Hunt, and Aldi. I had just started shopping at Patel Brothers when Liz texted to say they were done. So I finished quickly and went to pick them up. We went home and ate lunch, and Luke actually napped afterwards. Then we played outside until Liz finished work. He enjoyed dinner and went to the potty after. He didn’t fuss too much at bedtime.
