I dropped off my car at the shop this morning and walked back to the cottage. This afternoon I returned on a bicycle and was told that they still hadn’t looked at it bit to come back at 4:30. I did, and they said I need a new power steering pump and hoses. They ordered them and hopefully they will arrive tomorrow morning and get installed in the afternoon. So basically two lost days IF everything goes well tomorrow. I took a few things from the car and biked back to the cottage to drop them off. Then I biked to Piggly Wiggly to get some groceries before it got dark. Now I’m just relaxing. I should read something worthwhile. Tomorrow I’ll at least try to do some more biking while I wait on the car. It should be a pretty day.
A better day than most.
I did my best to relax up on the mountain today. That entailed finishing my Bob Lee Swagger book d going to see the goats this morning, taking a nice nap this afternoon, and going on a hike at Lake Dimmick this evening. The weather was glorious and it felt so nice to be outside. Sunset was a little boring since there weren’t many clouds in the sky, but I was still able to explore a little area near the lake that I hadn’t visited before. After that I went to the Templeton Library to see the last bit of light fade away. It was very tranquil out. I will stay up here again tonight because I need to get a little work done on my car tomorrow before driving back to the farm. It looks like it will be a clear night with lots of stars so I might bundle up and go look at them. Fortunately it isn’t supposed to be too cold.

Breakthrough.
The electrician came this morning and finished everything up. What a relief. We will get inspected on Tuesday. I did a bit of cleaning and organizing. We are really close and hopefully Liz and Luke can come down next weekend if the inspections go well. The weather was glorious today. I came up to the mountain this afternoon. I talked with Debbie next door for a while then drove over to campus. The goats weren’t out, but it was a little late. This evening I have just been reading a Bob Lee Swagger book. I might only have a couple left after this one.
Off the rails.
The weather stayed warm and we got a bit more done today. My dad used the tractor to move a lot of dirt around the house. That looks a lot better and will help with drainage. I built a railing on the landing in the garage and finished boxing in the wall in the apartment bedroom to cover the pipes for the mini split.

Inching closer.
My dad came down and we got some more stuff done. The electrical inspector did not come and the electrician is not responding to communications. The weather is much warmer, which is very much appreciated.
