Christmas in October and more drywall.

We got an early start and knocked out most of the drywall in the living room. All of the can lights made the ceiling fairly tedious. We went into town for lunch and a couple of errands. I left the farm about 3:30 to go rent a uhaul trailer and then head to Liz’s office. They are closing it and a lot of stuff was up for grabs. We got some pretty nice things. Right now they are still in the trailer, but I will put them in the house tomorrow. Also tomorrow I hope to finish all of the drywall in the house. It won’t be easy but I think it’s possible. It’s chilly again tonight but the full moon is neat.

More drywall.

It was freezing cold this morning, but thankfully my day started with a drive to Home Depot. I got some green sheetrock there and a few other things. The drive over was lovely. I worked in the bathrooms and then went to Rew for more twelve foot sheetrock. Then I worked in the half bath, utility room, and entrance to Luke’s room. The day ended up being really pretty. My dad arrived around eleven and he mudded the drywall. We worked until dark.

Catching up with the Little Man on a chilly Sunday.

It got down close to freezing last night, but Luke was appropriately dressed. I wouldn’t mind one of those fleece jumpsuits for myself. We didn’t do too much today. I read to him a bit and he did some tummy time. He took three good naps and was in a pretty good mood. This evening after he and Liz go to sleep I’ll drive down to Columbia. I’m anticipating another very productive week and it will be great to get going tomorrow morning. This week I hope to finish the remaining walls and ceilings. There is some drywall left and also the old siding that goes on two bedroom walls. First thing tomorrow morning I need to go get more sheetrock. I also need to haul a bunch of debris to the landfill. It will be very cold tonight but thankfully it will be warmer starting tomorrow.
