This week my dad and I have been building a storage shed at the blue house in Monteagle. It has gone well for the most part and today we finished. Below are pictures taken at the end of each day.
2025 book 12.
The fifth and final book of the saga. I really enjoyed it and felt like it was a fitting end to the series.
2025 book 11.
The saga continues. This was another great story about the Khan dynasty. Now I have just one more book left.
2025 book 10.
This one was interesting, although a bit disappointing. Nevil Shute is one of my favorite novelists, who also happened to be a very successful engineer and businessman. Unfortunately this book deals with the latter two facets of his life. I definitely enjoyed the narrative but wish that he would have talked more about being a writer and what that entailed. He also didn’t talk much about his life outside of work. I still enjoyed the glimpse into English life from around 100 years ago though.
Snow day!
Luke’s school actually canceled yesterday afternoon before a single flake had fallen. We probably got about two inches overnight. It is pretty, and not many folks are on the road. We’ve got a fire going and Luke is looking forward to sledding.
