Luke and I drove up to High Hopes for his speech therapy this morning. They did kind of an evaluation, which is apparently done every six months. This one was focused on his receptive language and he did incredibly well. From there we drove up to the playground and met my parents. Luke had a lot of fun sliding and throwing things into the creek. We had lunch back and home and then he refused to nap. I should have taken him for a car ride so he would sleep, but didn’t. So we had a pretty unpleasant afternoon. Liz worked late so we didn’t go to the nature park. I also burnt the rice we were supposed to have for dinner. On the plus side, bath and bedtime went really well. I will be going to Kroger shortly.
Lovely Sunday on the Mountain.
I was a little slow getting going this morning. I started setting up to do and Insanity workout, but decided instead to go for a hike. It was nice and cool out. I drove to the end of the Mountain Goat Trail, hiked about a quarter mile down it, then took the trail to Lake Dimmick. It felt great to be out and I saw a few other folks. The route was pretty. It was a nice opportunity to let my mind wander, and also to think about some things on my mind.
After returning to the cottage and eating the oatmeal that I had cooked before hiking, but forgotten to eat, I went to the house to do some things. Mostly organizing and moving stuff, but I also started removing kitchen cabinets, and left some notes for the plumber. I came back to the cottage, cleaned it and did laundry, before driving home. I arrived a little before dinner and played with Luke. After dinner and bath he went down without too much fuss.

More miracles on the Mountain.
Luke went to bed without a whimper last night, and my drive was delightfully uneventful. This morning I did an Insanity workout before heading to the house. Upon arriving I was very pleased to see that the water and electric lines had been installed and covered. Additionally all of the exterior lights were properly installed, and progress had been made inside. I did some cleaning around the house and prepared for my ten o’clock showing. It was the same guy that came last Sunday. He arrived, along with his parents and realtor. They spent about an hour and the realtor stayed for another 40 minutes or so. He said an offer will be coming soon.
After that I returned to the cottage for a very late breakfast then went next door to chat with Debbie for a while. I left there and went to the Mountain Goat Market for a late lunch/early dinner before my next showing. The folks came by the house as scheduled and we talked for about an hour. They seemed pretty interested but I’m not sure. They are also looking at the tiny houses. I was returning to the cottage when I noticed that the Mountain Goat Market wasn’t crowded at all, which was rather surprising given that it was Saturday night. So I stopped in and hung out until close. Then I came back to the cottage and relaxed. I wish I had a good book to read. The weather was really nice today, it felt like fall. Tomorrow I’ll do some work on the house and try to be home for dinner.

First day of fall-like weather.
It sure felt nice outside today. Luke and I went to the playground in Spring Hill pretty early. Initially we had it to ourselves, but eventually more folks came. We went home for snack and played with Legos until lunch. He was tired, but refused to take a nap, so I loaded him into the car and we took a drive. I think he slept for a bit over an hour. Back at home we played with Legos some more until Liz got off work and we all went to the nature park for a nice walk. The weather was perfect and we had a great time. Now Liz is making dinner and Luke is “vacuuming”. After he goes to bed I will drive up to Monteagle.

Two new playgrounds.
It was a busy day. We started by all going up to Franklin for Luke’s speech therapy. From there we went to Cool Springs so Liz could pick up something, then we returned to Columbia. We visited a park with a playground near downtown while killing a little time before Luke’s hair cutting appointment. Liz took him in to it at the designated time, but left upon seeing that nobody in the confined space was wearing a mask. After lunch he failed to nap, so once Liz finished her only meeting we went for a drive over to Chapel Hill and Henry Horton State Park. At least he slept on that drive. He enjoyed their big playground that was especially designed for 2-5 year olds. Dinner was uneventful as was bath time. He went down for bed without even a peep.
