Summer’s gone.

Not by the traditional definition, but Luke started Pre-K nearly three weeks ago. So far he seems to really enjoy it. I have finished work on the Mountain and am now back in Columbia full time, trying to figure out what’s next. This week has been pretty hot, in the upper 90’s and sunny. It’s been a couple of weeks since our last rain. I’ll try to get better about writing, but in the meantime here are some pictures.

Staying busy.

I have not thought to write here for a bit, but now it came to my mind, so here I am. We have been doing summery things. Luke continues to keep everybody entertained.

5.

A little late with this post, but Luke turned five last Sunday. He is healthy and fun, which feels like an incredible blessing. The day before his birthday was the Mule Day parade, and my parents and Lauren came down for his birthday. He got all sorts of presents, but a bike was the big one. He has been riding it every day: on the back deck, in the back yard, and at various parks. Unfortunately Liz’s parents had to cancel coming down, but will hopefully be able to make it in a couple of weeks.

Last night we went to the Good Friday service at church and this morning another church had an Easter egg hunt at Riverwalk. Tomorrow morning we will go to the sunrise service, followed by a church breakfast. Hopefully it will warm up and stop raining. I hope to have a very productive week on the Mountain. The second house is nearing completion and I am ready to be done.
