Heading home, hauling wood.

This morning I went by the job site and hauled trash and cardboard to the dump. Then I stopped by the Goat Market for a few minutes before getting my flatbed trailer at the cottage. I drove home, unloaded the wood with my tractor, ate lunch with Liz and Luke, and played with Luke until he went down for his nap. Then I drove to Cedar Direct in Chapel Hill and picked up two of the units of shiplap that I had ordered. I took a somewhat new route back up to the Mountain. This evening I have been drawing house plans and reading a book on the Patagonia. Tonight is supposed to be the last night of cold weather.

Church, store, and not much more.

We went to church this morning which was very nice. Luke stayed the whole time in the nursery, most of it without Liz. We came home and had lunch and I prepared lentil curry in the slow cooker. During Luke’s nap I went to Kroger, then prepared my trailer along with some wood and tools to head to Monteagle later this evening. We somewhat followed the Titans game online. Luke was in a great mood all day. Unfortunately it was a bit cold to go to the playground, but we had fun inside. The week ahead will hopefully be busy and productive.

Braving the rain and cold to get some bread.

It was a nasty day out and after a trip to the dump and Harbor Freight, Luke and I ventured out to the farmer’s market to pick up several loaves of bread. We had a nice chat with the bakers before heading to Kroger. Luke did great there and we had a fun day at home playing and reading while Liz was away. When she returned we ate the black beans that I had prepared in the slow cooker, along with some Jasmine rice. Luke was pretty tired due to a short afternoon nap and fell asleep without fussing.

Errands everywhere.

After breakfast I went to the house and did a little caulking. It was really cold. From there I went to the bank, then to the Goat Market, then down to the lumberyard in Winchester. After that I bought cabinets in Shelbyville and lumber in Chapel Hill. In Columbia I ordered interior doors and laminate flooring. I arrived home just before dinner time and was able to play with Luke for a few minutes before we ate.

Grocery store and more with Luke.

This morning Luke and I went to the grocery store and had a lot of fun. He really enjoyed helping put things in the cart. Back at the house we played a lot with his blocks, read, and while he was napping I cooked a white bean chili in the slow cooker. After Luke went to bed I drove up to the Mountain. It was very stormy so the trip took over two hours.
