Well, the Little Man has been with us for a third of a year now. It’s still pretty surreal. He had his four month doctor visit today, and the doctor was very pleased with how he is doing. Overall he has been doing pretty well. Getting a little fussy at times, but nothing major. He is nursing great, and actually hasn’t had any formula in nearly a month. He seeps at least seven hours every night. He seems to enjoy going on walks. He can really hold his head up high during tummy time. He hasn’t gotten sick yet. It feels like he has been pretty low maintenance, relatively speaking, but I don’t have much of a frame of reference.
Rain drain and happy Little Man.
We were clicking along pretty good today until it started pouring down rain around three this afternoon. I had to run to Dollar General for towels to clean up water that had come inside. After that it was so muddy that we decided to call it a day instead of making a huge mess inside the units.
So I got back to the condo around 4:40 and spent some quality time with Luke. We did a couple of rounds of tummy time and played with some of his toys. He was in a good mood. It was also bath night.
Short day, little turtle, seven years ago.
The Google Photos app on my phone occasionally sends me little notifications about what I was doing on this day in previous years. Today’s action was from Guanajuato, Mexico, specifically the statue of Cristo Rey. That was cool, because I was able to show it to the Mexicans on the job site today. One of them said that his grandmother was from Guanajuato.
I was a little late to work this morning, arriving around 6:30. It was a productive day though. Lots more flooring went down, along with more doors and trim being put into place. It was hotter than forecast, but I had the big fan running. I still think it is possible for me to finish up the flooring tomorrow. Unfortunately that will involve a lot of moving my tools around, since there is work remaining in all four units. I left about 3:40 and came back to the condo.
Luke was in a pretty good mood when I arrived. We played a little bit and did tummy time. He can really hold his head up high now. I told Liz he looks like a turtle with his neck all stretched out. He rolled over again too. Unfortunately I didn’t record it.
Start of week three and a fussy Little Man.
Today was the start of the third and hopefully final week of our little Nashville adventure. I finished up the flooring downstairs in unit one, and made good progress on the upstairs. I hope to be finished with all of the flooring by Wednesday. My dad is making great progress on the doors and trim. We also installed the last of the bathroom vanities. We had been waiting on a part from the cabinet supplier. My portable table saw died, so after lunch we picked up a new one. It is a bit nicer and included a stand. We worked a little over twelve hours today.
Liz said that Luke was rather fussy and didn’t nap very well today. He was pretty good this evening though. We bathed him and he nursed a lot.
Strolling, fussing, not much napping, and grandparents.
It was already pretty warm by the time we arrived at the AG Center this morning. We still managed to walk three laps though, and enjoyed the fresh air. I played with Luke a bit this afternoon. He really didn’t want to sleep any. My parents came over for a little while and were able to see him as we were trying to get him to nap. We did tummy time and he held his head up for a long time but did not roll over.
