Slow day, but nice weather.

Luke woke up early this morning and we played with Legos until breakfast. I left at the same time that he and Liz did, driving to the Mountain via Lewisburg, where I stopped at the auto parts store. At the cottage I read a little before going to the library to use their internet in the parking lot. I finally made my way to the job site and worked until nearly dark. I stopped at Piggly Wiggly on the way to the cottage and have just been relaxing and surfing the internet on my phone.

Feels like fall.

I had to put on a jacket this morning since it was a little chilly. The electrician were working when I got to the job site, and the inspector came a little later and passed us. That was a good feeling. I worked until about two, went to the cottage and showered, then drove home. Liz had called a tree guy out and he was waiting when I arrived. We discussed the health of our trees and he was very helpful. We will probably have him do some work for us. Luke and I played until dinner time and then we ate. He and Liz are doing bath time now.

Rain strikes again.

It was raining hard this morning so we waited a little bit after breakfast before venturing out. We headed to Spring Hill and visited Target, PetSmart, Homegoods, Ross, and finally Kroger. That was all kind of tiring, although it was good to get a belt and socks. Back at the house Luke and I worked on a Lego tower until lunch time. He did not nap, and Liz did not want to do a car nap, out of hopes that he would go to bed early tonight. So we just hung out all afternoon. I was able to leave the house a few minutes after five, which was nice, since I didn’t want to be driving in both the rain and the dark. I have been working on designs for the next houses since arriving at the cottage. I hope to go to bed early and wake up early. My cough and sore throat are nearly gone.

Rain returns.

We woke up and read this morning before Liz and Luke made breakfast cookies. We waited a bit to go to the farmers market due to the rain, but once we were there it was great to see and talk with everybody. Back at the house I had a nap but nobody else did. We were pretty much homebound all afternoon and it was quite boring. We had dinner and I did bed time, so that Liz could have a little break. He went to bed really early and quickly due to not having a bath.

Rails.

I slept well last night and got to the job site just before seven. One of the electricians was there and we chatted for a bit. I finished the skirting on the blue house then headed down to Winchester to pick up goat panels to use on the porch railings. That went well and back at the houses I got busy installing them. It actually went better than expected, thanks in large part to my air powered stapler. After finishing I cleaned up the site a bit, then went to the cottage for a shower and to gather my belongings. I got some dinner in Pelham then drove the rest of the way home via Bell Buckle. I surprised Liz and Luke as they weren’t expecting me until tomorrow evening. Now Liz is putting Luke to bed.
