Monday blues.
I didn’t leave the mountain as early as hoped this morning, but managed to arrive at the farm around ten. I took the mostly scenic route. There was a very light dusting of snow at the cottage. The drive through town and down the mountain was very foggy, but it cleared up in the valley. I ran a bunch of errands around Spring Hill and Columbia before returning to the farm and finishing the trench for the water line and adding more busted concrete block to the garage floor. I think I found a concrete guy who will pour that, I just need to put down some gravel first. Tomorrow should be a little warmer. I will try to burn some and maybe haul trash to the dump in addition to moving more dirt around and ordering gravel. It’s cold tonight.

Another unproductive Sunday.
It was super foggy this morning. I tried to sleep in but couldn’t. The goats weren’t out and there wasn’t much to do. I drove around a little and did some journaling.
The weather gets nastier.
The day started off cold and dry, but it became cold and wet around noon. At that time I decided to head for the mountain. It was even colder and wetter. I had a late lunch at the nasty Chinese buffet and drove around a bit. I also visited with Debbie at the pottery place next door for a while. I picked up a little knitted goat for Luke at the Mountain Goat Market. Hopefully he will like it.

A little sick, a lot cold.
The spring like weather is now a thing of the past. It is sunny today but the wind is biting. I hauled a bit of trash to the dump this morning and made a trip to Lowe’s for a few things. The plumber and electrician were working when I returned. I headed up to Nashville to work on some stuff for my dad at his new place. I didn’t have the materials to do everything, bit did all that I could. At this time I wasn’t feeling so good, and so I rested in the spare bedroom and decided to stay the night, since it’s supposed to get down to 23 degrees. My mother cooked a delicious dinner of trout, potatoes, and brussel sprouts. Before bed I plan on watching the two newest episodes of The Blacklist.
More Little Man pictures.
Liz has sent these over the past few days.
Another beautiful day, more productivity.
I don’t believe I’ve ever seen this before – all the workers showed today. Not for all day, but still. My dad, the electrician, his plumber assistant, the HVAC guys. My dad did a great job of tiling the master shower. I worked on cleaning things up outside and preparing to move a lot of dirt around the house. Took trash to the dump, made a couple of trips to Home Depot. The rest of the week is going to be much colder.

Amazing weather, lovely scenery.
Part of me wanted to drive out into the sticks and stargaze last night. The sky was clear and there was a new moon, but alas the comfortable bed refused to let me go. Maybe tonight. I did get up at the crack this morning and take some pictures. I went to the development across the street. It has a lovely lake that was all misty. After driving around a little and checking out the goats I napped for the rest of the morning. That was refreshing but I felt bad because the day was so pretty. I went back to the campus farm and visited several other spots as well, including the Templeton Library at sunset. I will stay at the cottage again tonight and then head for the farm first thing in the morning.
