I got to the job site early this morning and began to prepare everything for the mason and his crew. And then I waited. At ten I emailed to see if he was still coming. At 10:35 he wrote that they were on the way. They arrived at 11:45. The mason brought four other guys with him. Two looked like they were in middle school and the other two looked like they were on work release. But they got after it and worked hard until dark. After they left I had dinner at the Mountain Goat Market. They say they will come between seven and eight tomorrow morning. I asked him to text when he leaves home.

The mason still didn’t show today. Emailed him again to see what’s up. So I spent much of the day splitting the last of the wood behind the house. It was a cloudy evening so I didn’t go out for sunset.
