Macaroni and more flooring.

It was not an efficient day. The drive in featured another lovely sunrise at the AG Center, but things moved pretty slowly this morning. The siding guys started work. I talked with them briefly – one of them had only been in the country four days. I was able to get a little flooring down before the marble guys showed up. The owner was from Sicily and was quite the character. They installed the surrounds around two of the fireplaces, and they look amazing. I finished up the flooring on the ground level of unit three. I am moving slower than expected, but I’m still satisfied with the progress. Tomorrow should be a very productive day.

Late start, early finish.

I slept in a little and didn’t get to work until about 6:30. On the bright (literally!) side I saw the sun reveal itself as a beautiful orange ball as I was driving through the AG Center. That was worth stopping for. But not worth unearthing the real camera, apparently. I started putting flooring down in the ground level of unit four. It went pretty well for the most part. At about eight Liz texted to see if I could come back to the condo around one in order to look after Luke for the afternoon. So I worked until twelve and then left. I am pretty pleased with my progress considering the reduced time, But I will definitely have to work hard the rest of the week in order to catch up. I’m hoping to be finished with all of the flooring by Saturday.

Rollin’ (over).

Well, Luke hit a big milestone a couple of evenings ago – he rolled over by himself for the first time. We were doing tummy time, and apparently he had enough of being on his tummy, so he rolled over to his back. He has done it a half dozen or so times since. According to Liz’s chart the doctor gave her, that isn’t expected to happen until six months. Exceptional child. This evening during tummy time I filmed him with the hopes he would do it again, but he didn’t. He relaxed with me on the bed for a while after that. I put on his new John Deere socks that Liz’s mother gave him. Tonight he is supposed to get a bath and be weighed, but I’m not sure if either will happen. It is getting pretty late and everybody is rather tired. Two nights ago he also started sleeping in the pack-and-play. It has been a little bit of a difficult transition, but hopefully he will continue to adjust.

Motivated Monday.

Short post because I’m exhausted. Arrived at the crack (pictures below). Put down more flooring in another upstairs unit. Left after sunset (pictures below). Expecting more of the same tomorrow.
