Settling into a better routine.

I have been getting up pretty early for these past few days, and I think I like it. It makes me feel more productive. This morning Luke and I went to the park in Spring Hill and he was able to throw a lot of rocks and sticks into the creek, which he really enjoyed. He had speech therapy after that and then we just played until lunch. I was able to work on the she shed during his nap and after Liz got off work.

Nice weather returns.

Luke got up super early again this morning. I’m not sure what is going on. He and Liz made breakfast cookies, and then I took trash to the dump. Luke and I played in his sort of playroom and then went to the greenway after snack. The nature park was again closed. I called the office and left a message asking what is up. No response yet. During nap and after Liz got off work I worked on the she shed. That was a nice break from the routine.

Just another Sunday.

Thankfully Luke didn’t wake up quite as early this morning. After breakfast I took a nap. Before lunch we had a video call with my parents. After Luke’s nap we went for a walk along the greenway since the nature park was closed for some reason. It was rather chilly outside.

On the road!

This morning Luke woke up very early again. I also got out of bed before six, which felt pretty good. We had breakfast, then I drove to Crossville. The drive was nice and pretty, despite a bit of rain. My destination was the “farm” of a guy who is selling old window sashes. I needed some for Liz’s she shed as well as for another project I have in mind. I found his place without issue and was pretty overwhelmed by his massive supply of windows. Fortunately I had a list and was able to get most of what I needed. Bob was very nice and I enjoyed talking with him. The drive home was uneventful.

Happy birthday mama!

Today is Liz’s birthday, as the post title suggests. Luke got things started at about 5:30. The day was pretty normal; Liz worked, I took Luke to the park between breakfast and snack, he took a three and a quarter hour nap (not normal), and then we walked all around the back yard before dinner. After dinner I assembled a little table that Liz had bought for Luke.
