Shed and Storms.

We went to the forest again this morning for hiking and a snack. After returning we did a video chat with my parents. I was planning on starting work on the shed while Luke napped, but I took a nap myself. I got up and started enclosing the shed. That was going extremely well until a storm rolled in. I started with extremely strong winds that were breaking branches. I was pretty surprised that the shed stayed standing. I ran back to the house and took Liz and Luke to the master closet. Fortunately Luke had some toys in there and we were able to pass the time. It rained pretty hard for a little while, then calmed down and was pretty out. So a rather dramatic way to end the weekend.

Park and She Shed.

We went to the nature park this morning and had a lovely time. It was warm and sunny and we saw lots of birds. We took a snack for Luke, so we weren’t at all rushed. I worked on the she shed from nap onward, and was pretty much able to finish up the framing.

38 Special.

Well I turned 38 today. It was a pretty regular day for the most part. Liz and Luke did make breakfast cookies and Luke watched our next door neighbor cut grass this morning. Liz took the afternoon of work and so I was able to make some progress on the she shed. Her and Luke came out to see how it was looking. I worked until dark.

Walking and working.

Luke woke up before five this morning. hat wasn’t a great way to start the day. We played in his new playroom and then went to the park in Spring Hill after snack. He enjoyed throwing rocks into the stream and seeing several other kids. I worked on the she shed while he napped and after Liz got off work. He and Liz came out to see the progress just before dinner. After dinner I worked until nearly dark, then went to Kroger.
