Haircut, fez, splish splash.

Today was a big one in the life of Luke. He got his first haircut and it wasn’t exactly his idea of a good time. Liz thought it was too short, but I am pleased with it. The hair is out of his eyes and he looks more responsible. My parents came down and brought a Moroccan outfit for him from there recent travels. It was a bit warm to try on the djellaba, but he did wear his fez for a few seconds. Lastly, and the most fun, he got to use his swimming pool for the first time. That was also a gift from my parents, and he loved it. Hopefully it will provide a whole summer of fun. The pictures below are courtesy of my mother.

Quick trip up the Mountain.

We had planned on spending the whole long weekend in Monteagle, but decided last night that it would be a bit too challenging logistically. So this morning we drove up during Luke’s nap and returned during his afternoon nap. In between we walked on the Goat Trail, visited the Sewanee goats, said hey to Debbie next door, and played in the cottage. Pretty low key, but still enjoyable. And thankfully cooler than The Valley.
