Slower day.

This morning Liz took Luke to speech therapy so I rode the exercise bike and cut my hair. When they returned Luke was asleep in the car. We just read books until lunch time and then he had a nap, after much struggle. This afternoon we read some more until Liz got off work. Dinner and bed times were a bit delayed, but he went down okay.

More playground time.

This morning Luke and I returned to the playground in Spring Hill. We were the first people there, but eventually a lot more people came. I talked with some other parents and Luke ran around a lot. We took off his shoes so that he could climb up the slides more easily. The weather was once again great and he had a lot of fun. Lunch went well but he didn’t want to nap, and he ended up being a terror for the whole afternoon. Liz’s work ran a bit late so that didn’t help things. He did better at dinner and went to bed without too much fuss, likely due to being so tired.

Another beautiful, active day.

Luke had some testing this morning at a nearby school, so while Liz took him to that I went by the door place in town then to Kroger. I unpacked groceries back at the house while waiting on them to return. After snack Luke and I drove to Henry Horton State Park, where we met my parents. Luke had a great time on the playground. We went home for lunch and then failed at taking a nap. Liz got off work a little early and she played with Luke in the back yard. Dinner, bath, and bed times all went well.

Starting the week off right.

This morning Luke and I drove up to Franklin for speech therapy then went by Publix for a few things. From there we drove to the playground in Spring Hill. The weather was great and there were some other kids around, but not too many. Luke had a lot of fun going up and down the slides. We came home for lunch and then he took a good nap. This afternoon we assembled a new bed that Liz had ordered. He enjoyed helping and mostly behaved. This evening he ate a good dinner and went to bed without too much trouble.

Beautiful day on the Mountain.

I had a relaxing morning with trips to CVS, the storage unit and Piggly Wiggly. I tried to relax and take a little nap, but that was kind of a waste of time. I spent the afternoon organizing my car and marking dead trees at the cottage until my parents arrived. My dad and I went to the new property and looked at where the next two houses are going. I marked off a few more trees to remove, and am overall really happy with how the houses will sit. I drove home via Bell Buckle and enjoyed the drive. It was good to see Liz and Luke. He told me all about his day, which was fun. I am too lazy to ride the exercise bike tonight.

Mountain time.

This morning Liz and Luke baked breakfast cookies and then we went to the playground in Spring Hill. Luke had fun there despite it being a bit chilly. From there we went to Home Depot to get a bird feeder and plastic bin. Luke enjoyed that as well. After getting home and unloaded it was time for me to hit the road. I drove up to the Mountain via Chapel Hill and Cowan. First I stopped at Debbie’s and chatted with her for a bit. Next I visited the Mountain Goat Market for some fizzy water and a visit with Eric. Upon finishing there I drove to the new property to meet with a guy who does land clearing, digs footings, and installs septic systems. That went really well and I think he will be able to do all of the week I need. It was nearly dark when I left so I didn’t go take pictures anywhere despite wanting to. The cold was also a bit of a factor. I stopped at Piggly Wiggly for some groceries then came to the cottage. After cooking dinner I have just been messing around on my phone.

Happy it’s Friday.

Luke had remote therapy this morning, at which point I took trash to the dump. After that we went outside and split wood until our friend Erik came at eleven to get some firewood for his bread oven. Luke enjoyed seeing him even though he didn’t engage much. He talked about Mister Erik all through lunch. Nap time was a failure and so the afternoon seemed to stretch on forever. He was a little wild at dinner time, but did go to bed okay since he was so tired. I went on an exercise bike ride and have been looking at trucks online.

More activity and nice weather.

Luke and I went to High Hopes first thing this morning for speech therapy. Then we went to Publix for yogurt before driving down to the Spring Hill park again. He played there for a while until it got too crowded, then we drove home. He took a pretty short nap and we played some until going outside. Liz took over with him after work so that I could mess around on the computer. Tonight will be my second evening of no exercise bike ride. I need to resume that tomorrow.

The weather feels like spring.

Luke and I returned to the Spring Hill park this morning. It was very nice outside and it felt great to be in the sun. He played and I talked with some other parents. We left there and went to Home Depot for a bit. Luke enjoyed that. He napped after lunch and then we read books until Liz got off work. Then we all went to the nature park for a nice walk. Dinner went well, as did bath and bed time. I didn’t ride on the exercise bike because I’m feeling a bit lazy. Also I have a lot to do on the computer.

Rolling along.

Luke and I went to the Spring Hill playground this morning. It was a little chilly but not too bad, and we stayed until lunch time. He took a good nap and we played with Legos afterwards. This evening I went on a very good exercise bike ride.
