Up and down Tuesday.
Luke and I played with Legos for most of the morning. My parents came and we all spent time outside together. Luke had a great time and spent the rest of the day talking about it. Lunch was a little late and then nap did not happen. He was a real handful for the whole afternoon. When Liz got off work I went outside and started building a floor for the goat shed, which will become Luke’s playhouse. He was still a bit of a pill at dinnertime, but bath and bedtime went okay.

Pretty good Monday.
Luke and I went up to High Hopes this morning and he did really well. We stopped at Publix before returning home. At home we played with Legos until lunch time, then he eventually napped. More Legos and reading after nap. It was pretty chilly so we didn’t go outside. Luke managed to stretch out dinnertime a bit, but he did well during bath and bedtime. Tomorrow is supposed to be a little warmer so hopefully we can be active.
Where did the day go?
Luke slept in a little this morning. We built some Legos before I went outside and split a little firewood. My friend Tim came and picked up some for his outdoor fire pit. It was good to see and talk with him for a few minutes. After lunch both Luke and I failed to take naps. I really tried and stayed on the sofa for a couple of hours or more. After that we all went outside. Liz and Luke picked up sticks and I cut some boards for the floor of Luke’s playhouse. Unfortunately I am one board short, so was unable to assemble everything. We had a quick dinner and Luke went to bed easily because he was so tired. Liz and I have been watching the Super Bowl since then.
Fun day.
After breakfast and playing a bit we drove up to Lauren’s house in Nashville. The purpose was a little surprise birthday celebration for my dad, about a week after his birthday. We started off playing in the back yard, which Luke really enjoyed. Lunch was from Panera. We left about one and drove for a while longer than necessary so Luke could get some sleep. We stopped in Lynnville because I wanted Liz to see a leather store there. Once home we played some more and then had dinner. I started to sand the kitchen countertops but didn’t have the appropriate sandpaper so I went to Home Depot for more, then to Publix for groceries. It is a little expensive but a much better experience than Kroger.

Finally Friday!
Luke woke up at the extreme early hours in a weird mood and didn’t want to go back to bed. Other than that it was another routine day. Legos and books in the morning, lunch, thankfully he took a nap, then more Legos and books until Liz got off work. She took him outside and I made her a wren house. Dinner was some black beans with rice that I made. They turned out pretty well, I think. I used salsa from Cherry Republic in Michigan. Luke is getting his bath now.

High Hopes, playground, Legos, drive, building.
This morning Luke and I drove up to High Hopes for speech therapy. That went pretty well. Afterwards we met my dad at the park in Franklin. Luke had fun but it was super cold and windy. We drove home and built Legos until lunch time. He tried to nap but couldn’t so we went for a drive. It was nice to be on the road – we went out to Santa Fe and came back through Burwood. We had snack and built more Legos upon our return. After Liz got off work I returned to the garage and built a bluebird house and another feeder, this time one that attaches to a window. Dinner was a lentil dish I made in the slow cooker today. I thought it was delicious. Luke is getting a bath now and will hopefully go down for bed without a fight.

Getting a few things done.
Luke and I read and built Legos this morning until it was time for him to go with Liz to the children’s museum in Columbia. While they did that I got my oil changed at Walmart – a two hour plus ordeal. After lunch Luke tried to nap but couldn’t. We did have about an hour of quiet time in his room though. After some more reading we went outside for almost a couple of hours. He mostly wanted to hang around the she shed. Liz came out after work and I went to the garage to make a couple of bird feeders. I am pleased with how they came out. I just used some scrap wood I had around and some wire mesh I bought at Home Depot. Luke was a bit fussy at bath time but went to bed okay.

Back at it.
Liz’s parents left this morning after breakfast. Luke and I did some reading then went outside until lunch time. He enjoyed helping me move wood around. After lunch he had a little meltdown but did end up taking a really good nap. Late this afternoon he had some sort of online potty training session. After dinner and clean up he went to bed pretty easily.
Active Monday.
This morning we removed the apple tree’s roots with the backhoe and moved a little dirt around. I took trash to the dump and got a call from Sunbelt saying the backhoe was overdue. There was some confusion but it worked out okay. After lunch I napped, then we pretty much all just relaxed for the rest of the day.
Getting more done.
It was a fairly busy day. We moved some rock and wood around, worked on the landscape truck, knocked over an apple tree, and graded out the driveway. Luke spent time outside and also built some Legos.
