Fast weekend.
I couldn’t fall asleep until a little after three this morning. Couldn’t really sleep past about 6:30 either. Made for kind of a rough day. We built more Legos, had video calls with my parents and Liz’s, kind of followed the Titans game, and did our best to relax. He was well behaved for the most part, until dinner, when a lack of nap caught up with him. He gave Liz some trouble during his bath and now she is putting him to bed. Last night we couldn’t get the football game so we watched an episode of a TV show called Barnyard Builders. It was pretty cool and so might watch more tonight.

Pretty fun Saturday.
Luke slept in until about 7:30 this morning, which was great for everybody. He also didn’t wake up during the night. Unfortunately it was horribly cold today so we didn’t go outside. We had fun inside though. Liz and Luke made banana bread, we built a nice Lego wall, and Luke had a decent nap. I finished reading a book on straw bale gardening and Liz and I discussed some plans for our “farm”. Luke had a good dinner but really didn’t want to go to bed. Liz is still in there with him while I am setting up the TV in our bedroom to watch some football.

Luke videos.
I have taken some videos of Luke recently and decided to post them in one place. Most involve pushing over Lego towers. Click on a video to play.
White Friday.
There was a light dusting of snow on the ground this morning. Not enough to really be pretty, and it quickly melted enough to feel depressing. Luke and I built Legos and read all morning. He ate a big lunch and then actually went down for a nap, though not easily. It wasn’t a long one, but it was nice for me to have a little time to myself to read and mess around on the internet. After nap we played more and then dinner, bath time. Liz is about to put him down for the night. I’m hoping he will get another night of uninterrupted sleep.

Mixed bag of a day.
Luke and I went to speech therapy this morning, and that was good. Then we met my dad at Pinkerton Park in Franklin. It was nice there and Luke had a lot of fun, but it was also pretty cold. We drove home and played with Legos until lunch. After lunch things kind of fell apart. He wouldn’t nap and was very defiant. So I loaded him into the car and we started driving. He screamed bloody murder for about ten minutes before falling asleep. We drove through Lewisburg, Cornersville and Lynnville before returning home. It started snowing on the last leg of the journey. When we arrived I saw that he had thrown up on himself, which must have been what some of the screaming was about. I felt pretty bad then, but he was in good spirits and wanted a snack. We played until Liz got off work, then had dinner and he went to bed. Hopefully he won’t wake up a bunch during the night.

Running all over town.
This morning we all drove up to Nashville for Luke to have an evaluation related to his speech therapy. After dropping them off I drove to Bellevue to visit Home Depot, Staples, and Goodwill. Next I went to McKay’s but they weren’t open and I didn’t feel like waiting. From there I headed to Nolensville Road and stopped at another thrift store, Bargain Hunt, and Aldi. I had just started shopping at Patel Brothers when Liz texted to say they were done. So I finished quickly and went to pick them up. We went home and ate lunch, and Luke actually napped afterwards. Then we played outside until Liz finished work. He enjoyed dinner and went to the potty after. He didn’t fuss too much at bedtime.

Boring Tuesday.
Luke is screaming in the background as I write this. He really doesn’t want to go to bed it seems. The day went pretty well. More reading and Legos, some outside time, lunch, a failed nap attempt followed by a car nap, more Legos, dinner, bath, bedtime.

Lots to do this Monday.
This morning Luke and I drove up to Franklin for his speech and occupational therapy. His speech therapist was blown away by the progress he has made. After that we went to Publix and Home Depot before taking a long drive to get home. We arrived for lunch, ate, then spent the afternoon playing with Legos and reading. After Liz got off work they went outside and I worked more on my office. We enjoyed dinner even though it ran a little long. Hopefully Luke will sleep better tonight than he did last night. He woke up several times screaming during the wee hours.

Sunday scaries.
That is the term Liz uses to describe the unpleasant feeling on the day before work is due to resume. Today was a major case since we have been living a life of leisure so to speak for a week and a half. Liz went up to Cool Springs for most of the morning, so Luke and I built Legos, read books, and spent time outside. The weather was actually quite nice. After lunch we all went for a car ride as once again that is the only way he will nap. This afternoon I did more organizing in my office. Today I also made two dishes in the slow cooker. Trying to get back on track with eating healthy. Bed time was again difficult.

Saturday feeling like Sunday.
For whatever reason, probably yesterday’s college football games (Roll Tide), today felt like Sunday all day. Which made me a little sad because that meant back to the real world tomorrow. I guess I feel sad again tomorrow on real Sunday. Oh well.
This morning Luke and Liz played in the back field while I worked on organizing my office. I made good progress but still have a ways to go. We spent the rest of the morning reading and playing with Legos. After lunch he didn’t nap so we went for a nice drive and he fell asleep. We built more Legos this afternoon and he looked at tractors online. He kind of fought bed time but eventually went down.
