All kinds of fun.
It was another early morning for Luke. After breakfast we started building Legos. After snack my parents came and we hung out in the back yard for a while. Luke and I stayed out until lunch. He was a reluctant napper but eventually went down. After nap we read some, had snack, and went back outside. He ate a ton at dinner and fussed about going to bed.

Back to the grind.
Luke woke up pretty early this morning, but in a good mood. After breakfast I had a meeting with a guy from the electric company who came by the house. We discussed moving the power pole and running the service line underground. Luke and I played after that until lunch time. He resisted a nap but eventually took a good one. After snack we went outside until Liz got off work. He helped move wood and was delighted when he got to sit on my lap to drive to the back of the property. He enjoyed dinner but was a little rowdy at bedtime.

A nice Monday off.
Liz didn’t work today due to the holiday, and everybody was happy about that. This morning she took Luke to therapy and I ran errands around town. First though I assembled a compost tumbler that came from Amazon yesterday. I drove to Sunbelt Rentals to ask about renting a small backhoe but they weren’t letting people inside, so I’ll call. Next I dropped of a bike at Goodwill. From there I went to the mechanic’s, but he was closed. The Co-op was open and I got some needed information there. My final stop was a sawmill in Santa Fe where I found some positive information about buying lumber. I returned home and did some work in the kitchen until Liz and Luke returned.
We played a little then had lunch. Liz couldn’t get him down for a nap but I was able to and he had a pretty good one. Afterwards he had snack and we went outside. I did some cleaning up around the lumber piles and fire pit, then we all went to the she-shed to mess around before ending up in the garage. I am really close to having it complete. For dinner we had some white bean chili I made in the slow cooker. Luke was really late going to bed. I have been doing a bit of stuff on the computer this evening.

Productive Sunday.
I was in no rush to get going this morning, so I had a leisurely time. After breakfast I cleaned and organized my car a bit. Then I went to the new property and marked out where the next two houses will go. It felt really good to get that done and I think I am happy with the layout. After returning to the cottage to clean and pack I drove down to Publix in Tullahoma to buy a few things, mainly for Luke. It took another hour to get home. When I arrived Luke was sitting on the real toilet, with the help of a little insert. After he finished we went outside and did a little cleaning up. Dinner was good. He didn’t really want to go to bed but eventually did. I have been looking at bird feeder plans online this evening.
Freezing on the Mountain.
After breakfast this morning I drove up to Monteagle with a stop at the Manchester Home Depot. I went by the bank, supply house, and pawn shop once I arrived. I also drove by the new property to make sure my tractor was still there. Thankfully it was. After getting some groceries at Piggly Wiggly I went by the cottage, where I organized my car then made lunch. After another pass through town I went to visit Debbie. I chatted with her and Charles for a bit before toughening up and going to get my tractor. It was a miserably cold drive back to the cottage, but I made it without incident. I went back to Debbie’s until she closed and they drove me back to my car. Next I went to the Goat Market where I chatted with Eric for a while. I returned to the cottage for a cobbled together dinner and some reading. I finished the square foot gardening book which I found to be quite informative. Hopefully tomorrow will be a little warmer, as promised, because I do have a lot of outside things to do here and don’t want to be miserable while doing them.

Perfecting the cheesy smile.
Luke had developmental therapy this morning so I had a little free time. It was spent productively browsing the auction sites for trucks and equipment. Afterwards we built Legos until lunch time. He had a good nap then we went outside for a long time and also worked in the garage. It is really close to being done. We had a nice family dinner and after Luke went to bed I visited Kroger for a few things. There were some snowflakes coming down as I left.

Normal Thursday.
We built Legos pretty much most of the day. He did nap. No reading.
Lots of outside time.
Luke and I started off with Legos and then went outside after snack. Luke loved running around and helping me load garbage into my car. He didn’t nap although it would seem that he gave it an honest effort. We went outside again this afternoon and he helped me move some lumber around and got upset because we didn’t ride the lawn mower for real. This evening I went on another exercise bike ride, although shorter because of some technical difficulties.

Tide, Legos, books, nap, Legos, ride, TV.
Still feeling great about the Tide’s victory last night. The rest of the day was pretty normal, and the title pretty much covers it. After dinner I did go on my first ride on my new exercise bike. I also finished the deer book pictured below. It was about as useful as you would expect it to be. Liz and I are going to watch a little TV shortly.

Snow and Tide.
Woke up to some unexpected snow this morning. Not a lot but it was pretty. Otherwise is was a normal day. Legos, reading, no nap. He was mostly well behaved though. Now I am watching Alabama in the national championship game.
